Butterfly freshwater mussel

This is a type of mussel found in Missouri, it is called a Butterfly, and is considered one of our most beautiful mussels. Unfortunately since I drew it in greyscale you cannot appreciate the lovely yellow-green colors of the exterior of the shell. In real life, it is about 2.5 inches in length.
